Privacy policy

The short version

Knot & Rigging is a set of static files. There is no application server, no database, no account system and no analytics service. Nothing you do here is recorded anywhere by this site.

What is collected

Nothing. The site does not set cookies, does not use local storage to identify you, does not fingerprint your browser and does not send anything you type to a server. The contact form and the newsletter field validate in your browser and then do nothing further.

The 3D tools run entirely in your browser using WebGL. Nothing about the model you build, the parameters you set or the reports you export is transmitted; the exports are generated locally and saved directly by your browser.

Third parties

There are none. No font service, no content delivery network, no embedded video, no advertising network and no social media widget. Every stylesheet, script, font fallback and illustration is served from this site. The 3D library is bundled locally rather than loaded from a CDN.

Server logs

The site may be served by a hosting provider that keeps standard access logs containing your IP address, the page requested and the time. That is a property of the hosting, not something this site reads, analyses or shares. If you are concerned about it, the answer is the same as for any website: use a privacy-respecting network.

Your rights

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request, correct or erase. If you email the address on the contact page, your message and address exist only in that mailbox, and you can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

Children

The site is an educational reference and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the change will be visible on this page with a new date. Given the nature of the site, it is unlikely to change at all.
