Knot Tying Simulator
A parametric 3D rope you can rotate, work and tighten, with guided steps for four working knots and an honest readout of what each one costs in strength.

Retention figures come from the same table the calculator uses. A wrong step is reported rather than hidden.
∞ HOW TO WORK IT
Step by step
- Form the initial loop in the standing part.
- Pass the working end up through the loop.
- Take the working end around behind the standing part.
- Bring it back down through the loop and dress the knot.
- Tighten progressively, working from the standing part outward.
∞ WHAT IT REPORTS
Outputs
- Strength retention
- Rope length needed
- Tightening time
- Correctness score

This is an educational model with simplified geometry and physics. Results are indicative only and
are not a rating, a certification or a substitute for the equipment instructions. Never rely on a
simulation for a real lift, a real splice or a real load.
